THE SPIRIT RINGS SYSTEM: HUNTING THE SPIRIT BEASTS
Across the wilderness, ancient Spirit Beasts appear from time to time -- creatures that have cultivated for 10, 100, 1,000, or 10,000 years. When one spawns, every nearby player is warned so hunters can rally and bring it down.
REWARDS FOR THE KILLER
The player who lands the final blow gets:
10-Year Spirit Beast: 1x "10 Years Spirit" item + 500,000 Exp
100-Year Spirit Beast: 1x "100 Years Spirit" item + 1,000,000 Exp
1,000-Year Spirit Beast: 1x "1,000 Years Spirit" item + 10,000,000 Exp
10,000-Year Spirit Beast: 1x "10,000 Years Spirit" item + 100,000,000 Exp
LOOT FOR EVERYONE NEARBY
On death, the beast also scatters Spirit Essence Boxes around the kill site, open to any player nearby (not just the killer) for 10 minutes before they vanish:
10-Year Beast: 8 boxes
100-Year Beast: 100 boxes
1,000-Year Beast: 150 boxes
10,000-Year Beast: 150 boxes

TURNING SPIRIT INTO POWER
The Years Spirit items feed a cultivation total on your character. Using them raises this total, which in turn upgrades your Spirit Rings -- a ring effect around your body (white, yellow, purple, then black at the highest tiers) -- and grants an all-attribute buff for 8 minutes when activated, scaling with how much spirit you've gathered.
Spirit Essence and Spirit Keys drop from the boxes, and can be spent at a Spirit Essence Shop NPC for crafting materials and other goods.
